Long-lost 1995 Jericho recording surfaces on new Popboomerang release
- Post by: Danny McDonald

A long-lost Jericho demo from 1995 has surfaced on Popboomerang’s superb new digital compilation, Electric & Eclectic Rarities Volume 2.
Released by the much-loved Melbourne label yesterday, this collection features 40 rare and previously unreleased Australian recordings from the label’s first phase (2002–2025).
The unreleased Jericho track “Change Your Mind” was recorded by Michael Alonso at the original Birdland Studios on Chapel Street, Prahran way back in July 1995, when we were finding our feet as a band.
Curating these compilations is a labour of love for Scotty Pop, who goes to great lengths to uncover lost gems that might otherwise remain hidden in sheds, basements, and bedrooms around the country. This one’s no exception.
Electric & Eclectic Rarities Volume 2 is available now via the Popboomerang Bandcamp page for just $12 AUD — or more, if you’re feeling generous.
It’s also Bandcamp Friday, so if you grab a copy before 7pm AEST (Melbourne time) Saturday, all proceeds will go directly to the label.
