Persistence, authenticity, community, loyalty. They’re all words that come to mind for me when I think about the great Popboomerang Records.
The little Melbourne-based pop label run by my longtime friend Scotty Thurling is drawing to a close this year after a blinding two-decade and 120 release run, but it’s not going quietly.
‘Marching out of time‘ is the (almost) final release for Popboomerang Records, and it’s a swansong of sorts. Another classy compilation featuring 40 rare or unreleased songs across two compact discs and digital including tracks from the Killjoys, Mick Thomas & the Roving Commission, Nick Batterham, Aerial Maps, Little Murders and me.
‘Marching out of time’ is officially out on 1 April, but you can pre-order it now from the Popboomerang Bandcamp page – including the limited edition CD.
